Wyoming publishes compact marginal formulas
Section 20-2-304 provides base amounts and marginal percentages at seven combined monthly net-income thresholds for one through five-or-more children.
When each parent has more than 25% of overnights and substantially contributes to expenses, the total is multiplied by 150%, weighted for time, and offset.
The final obligor amount cannot invade the current one-person poverty-line self-support reserve.
Worked example: two children
- At $8,000 combined net income, take the two-child base amount.
- Allocate 62.5% to the payer.
- Apply the self-support reserve as the final limit.
The steps above follow the calculation method described on our methodology page.
