Assumptions
- Inputs are monthly adjusted gross incomes after Oregon guideline adjustments.
- The scale uses the lower published income range, caps combined income at $30,000, and caps child count at ten.
- Each basic share and the resulting payer obligation are limited to adjusted income above the $1,729 self-support reserve effective July 1, 2026, before the minimum-order exception.
- Parenting credits use the precise OAR logistic formula for 80 and 285 overnights.
- The $100 minimum did not increase this result.
- Childcare, health coverage, cash medical support, Social Security or veterans benefits, and rebuttal factors are excluded.
- The selected income and child count are within the published scale.

Oregon credits every quantified overnight
The official scale covers combined adjusted income through $30,000 and up to ten children.
Each parent receives a precisely computed logistic parenting-time credit; the larger net obligation controls payment direction.
Worked example: two children
- Select the lower combined-income range.
- Limit each proportional share by available income.
- Compute and offset both parenting-time credits.
The steps above follow the calculation method described on our methodology page.
Use adjusted gross income and annual averages
Oregon can average parenting time over two consecutive years, so fractional overnights are accepted.
