Kansas uses age-specific amounts per child
Appendix II gives a per-child amount by combined monthly Child Support Income, total family size, and the child’s nearest-birthday age band.
The court may apply a 10%, 20%, or 30% parenting-time adjustment at 35% through 49% parenting time.
Equal parenting uses either the Shared Expense Formula or the newer Direct Expense Formula.
Worked example: two children
- Combine both parents monthly Child Support Incomes.
- Read one amount for each child’s age band using the two-child family-size columns.
- Allocate the total using the parents rounded income percentages and apply the selected parenting method.
The steps above follow the calculation method described on our methodology page.
